New CPS-F pelletizing system, SenseHUB digital platform, and 80 years of co-kneader technology

At K 2025, BUSS is presenting itself as a technology partner for demanding compounding processes. With innovative developments such as the CPS-F pelletizing system, the SenseHUB® digital platform, and proven solutions such as COMPEO and modular units, the exhibition stand is all about intelligent technology, flexible integration, and practical digitalization. Another highlight: 80 years after the first patent application for the co-kneader, the Swiss company is celebrating a success story that continues to shape the compounding landscape to this day.

CPS-F: Precise pelletizing – flexibly integrated

With the new COMPEO Pelletizing System CPS-F, BUSS is presenting a solution for direct connection to the COMPEO kneader at K 2025. The first size, the CPS-F 200, was developed specifically for cable and performance compounds as well as viscous or porous polymers.

The flange design impresses with its compact construction, well-thought-out interfaces, and easy integration, even in OEM systems. A segmented, thermally compensating die plate ensures consistent cut quality. Short material flow paths, an optional screen changer, and integrated pressure monitoring make the process stable and efficient.

Compared to classic UWP systems, the CPS-F – and thus the CPS as a whole – offers significant advantages: Up to 50 percent less pressure loss ensures energy-efficient operation. Quick, clean access to the cutting zone eliminates the need to separate transport water or the drive train.

SenseHUB® : Data that makes the difference

With SenseHUB® , BUSS presents a scalable, digital platform that generates real added value from raw machine data – for targeted maintenance, higher quality, and greater efficiency.

Condition monitoring, OEE analyses, and an integrated service module are bundled in clearly structured dashboards. Plant managers and quality managers receive precise information on machine performance, resource utilization, and maintenance requirements – in real time, locally or globally.

Thanks to health scores, alarm statistics, and recommendations, potential malfunctions can be detected at an early stage. Tickets can be opened and processes documented directly in the dashboard via the integrated service module. This saves time, increases transparency, and reduces downtime. SenseHUB is available as a service module free of charge to all BUSS customers. Condition monitoring can be retrofitted for COMPEO kneaders and is available ex works in new COMPEO systems.

COMPEO & Aggregates: Flexibility in series

The modular COMPEO series stands for flexible applications, energy-efficient operation, and a wide range of formulations. Whether thermoplastics, elastomers, or special compounds—COMPEO impresses with its robust design, high torques, and adaptable process control. In combination with the latest BUSS units, individual system solutions can be realized – tailor-made, compact, and designed for maximum product quality.

80 years of co-kneaders: a technology with history

In 1945, BUSS applied for a patent for the co-kneader principle – laying the foundation for decades of successful development. From the early PR series to today’s COMPEO platform, the technology has continued to evolve and adapt to new challenges. 2025 marks an important technical anniversary. At the same time, it underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to actively shaping the future of compounding.

Dialogue at eye level – live on the touch panel

Anyone interested in the compounding of demanding materials can immerse themselves in the applications and advantages of co-kneader technology at one of the interactive touch panels at the trade fair stand or in the Lifetime Lounge. Experts will be on hand for discussions – from maintenance specialists to project managers. And because hospitality is also part of the technology, BUSS cordially invites all visitors to the stand bar. For questions, discussions, or simply a coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.
