Pressure build-up at the end of the production process is at least as important for perfect pellet quality as a fully homogeneous mixing of the various raw materials in the compounding step. The new COMPEO discharge unit is based on the principle of a conical twin screw, designed to run in a metered method. The entire controlled pressure build-up takes place in the slowly rotating twin screw. In this way potential temperature increases at the transition from compounder to discharge unit are eliminated. The operating principle of a screw pump guarantees maximum conveying efficiency at low RPM. The COMPEO discharge unit is suitable for a wide range of applications, is very user-friendly and extremly efficient.
